Kate Douglas captivated the world of erotic romance with her groundbreaking Wolf Tales series and today she continues to push boundaries with the Demon Lover series.

“. . . Kate Douglas provides a Mercury-hot paranormal erotic romance that will burn the readers’ fingers (and a few other spots).”
—Harriet Klausner about Wolf Tales

Addie Logan simply stopped to do the right thing. While helping an injured woman in the park, she becomes the victim of a vicious attack and barely makes it home to tend her own wounds. Later that night, tired and feverish, Addie awakens to find two gorgeous men standing over her bedside. Unsure if they are real or a figment of her imagination, she reaches out and unleashes an erotic hunger like none she’s ever known.

Welcoming the men into her bed, Addie experiences pleasures she’s never felt and finds herself becoming very attached to the strangers.

But these men need more from her than just erotic pleasure. They are demon hunters, and the attack on Addie in the park has made her one of them. Entering a world she never knew existed, Addie now dedicates her life to fighting demons and enjoying the pleasures of the two gorgeous men she fights alongside and is coming to love.

The story is not even half developed. The sex scenes were not developed. I'm pretty sure this is a precursor to a larger story but there was no story building. I'm not sure if the tro works solo or with a larger organization and if so, what organization, what's the purpose. The heros are suppose to be demons but what type of demons? Why do they need a third? The m/m part didn't make sense. It feels like the author threw it in there because it is expected but bot men hate each other for centuries, one basically raped the other and all of a sudden they want to have sex wit each other? I read this story 2 days ago and I don't remember the characters name (so sad). The female was either fired or laid off the day she met the males but what is her career/job? No idea, there was no backstory to the Heroine. No idea what her life was like. Overall, it might be okay if it's a fully fleshed out story and not bits and pieces like this. I would say pass on this one.

Unbalanced Demon Lovers Book 1 edition by Kate Douglas Paranormal Romance eBooks Reviews

I do spoiler free reviews. That said...

I knew upon buying the book was short. So when I started it, I was looking for a fun 'little' read. I didn't expect more. A fun little read was what I purchased and received.

This wasn't Kate's normal flare as I think it was more an introduction of some characters/plot to a new series perhaps.

Either way, I was happy I saw it, bought it and read it.
I know you are not suppose to judge books by their covers but come on we all do. haha. In my opinion the cover makes it look like it will be a cheesy story but it is in fact quite good. there is sex in the book but in my opinion it is not the real hard stuff you get out of erotic romance but it is strong enough I say you should be 18 and over to probably read it.
It was a good story with strong, vibrant characters. Addie wasn't perfect, her two boys weren't perfect. The demon was interesting also. However, the story ends at 57% with the rest being other works.
I didn't finish this. The guys appear at her bedside, they all have sex, and when the woman wakes up in the morning, the dudes are boinking each other. I don't care to read about same-gender sex or anal (nothing against it; just not my taste), and there was no character development, so I had no investment in the story.
Poor Addie, she has powers forced upon her that require her to help balance out 2 demon hunters, Locan and Jett. She is not at all prepared for her new future but takes to it rather well. I can't wait to read the next book in this series. I can't believe I waited so long to start this series.
Now i have never heard of this author until now so everything i say is strictly on what i read in Unbalanced. I finished this book in just under a day. Not hard considering its more of a short story being only i think 78 pages. It moves fast quite, keeps you glue from page 1 which is good in such a short tale. I definitely like the premise of the story. I feel the idea was there but the story left something to be desired. It felt like she built the story looking for places or reasons to throw some quick sex in it(and when i say quick, i mean quick) or give a reason to make sex prominent within the pages. I mean seriously,(spoiler) 2 demons who can only sustain balance by having sex seems rather, well, un creative to me. There's really only a few scenes, slightly graphic but as a word of warning they can get a little disturbing. If you are a homophobic you may want to stay away from this book. I'm not but i could do without hearing about male/male sex in a book. All in all, an entertaining read but i wish she would have built the story better.
The story had some trouble keeping my attention. I was a few pages from the end for several weeks without realizing. Eventually I finished the book, but it took longer than usual. I'm the type of person that will read a book cover to cover if I really get into it. That "put down" potential is really how I judge a book. If I read it in one sitting, or stay up far too late before I force myself to put it down, it's a 5. If I don't have too much remorse putting the book down, that is a 4. If I just stop reading after a chapter, and nothing is grabbing me to continue, that is a 3. 1 and 2 are basically, no plot, too much sexual content and poor character development.
The story is not even half developed. The sex scenes were not developed. I'm pretty sure this is a precursor to a larger story but there was no story building. I'm not sure if the tro works solo or with a larger organization and if so, what organization, what's the purpose. The heros are suppose to be demons but what type of demons?
